3rd edition Free & open to everyone
A free gathering of people, projects and communities working with open source, open data, open science, open hardware and open education.
About
OmniOpenCon is a gathering of people, projects and communities involved in all things open: open source, open data, open science, open hardware and open education. We value openness, freedom and sharing, and we want to bring together everyone who shares these beliefs.
OmniOpenCon is free as in free speech and as in free beer: everyone is welcome to attend for free, and all information and resources are publicly available. We follow the example and the spirit of FOSDEM.
The third edition is a two-day event: hands-on workshops on Friday, October 16, and talks on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Come as a speaker, a workshop leader or a participant. See you soon!
Hands-on workshops of 100 minutes, in small groups of up to 30 participants. Learn a tool, dive into a project, or build something together. Bring your laptop.
A full day of 20-minute talks, plus questions, delivered in English. Communities, maintainers and researchers share what they are working on and why openness matters.
Call for speakers
Thank you to everyone who submitted a talk or a workshop before Monday, September 7, 2026. Accepted sessions will appear in the schedule below. Want to get involved anyway? Get in touch.
